Two couples very important to me got married this summer. There were also a couple of notable anniversaries to me this year. It made me think of quite a bit about commitments.
Some people seem to believe they have made a commitment to, and are even married to, stress.
You are not married to stress. Did you make a decision to become involved with it? Have you been through a ceremony with it? Did you make a commitment and get a license for it? Did you get rings and pick out a cake?
Stress is a terrible partner. It makes you do all of the work. It’s not helpful at all, and makes what you do harder. It will make not make you happy or make you feel good about yourself.
Stress may be hanging around a lot, trying to get your attention. It wants to move in and make itself at home. It wants to steal the covers and hog the remote.
It will get the hint that you are not its type and move on, but you have to be convincing about it. Massage is one of the many tools that can be used to send it on its way. Make an appointment and I’ll give you a hand with breaking up with stress.
Once you get rid of stress, you will find that you now have room for some positive creative thought that can take you where you want to go. That’s a much better partner to make a commitment to.
