2017 Bad Valentines Poetry

Valentines day means poetry, but it doesn’t have to be good poetry.   I asked for contributions from my clients and on my facebook page.

The directions were to start with the classic
“Roses are red,
Violets are blue”

and come up with your own ending. Or just start with the first line if you want.

Here are a couple of mine to get it started.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I wish I could play
the Didgeridoo.

or
Roses are red,
Violets are blue
I think that cyclops
Has his eye on you.

Here are what my gifted readers shared with me.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I thought I was lovesick,
but it was the flu.

From somebody in college who should have been studying…

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Netflix is great,
Naps are fun too.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Chocolate’s on sale.
(That is your cue.)

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
And corn on the cob,
Has a yellowish hue.

it’s a corny poem! :0)

Roses are grey,
Violets are grey,
I am a dog.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
Our children are nuts,
Cuz you are too! (via Mrs. Main Street Massage)

My roses are yellow
Delivered by my fellow
Made me feel happy and mellow
Now we shall eat some Blue Bell-o.

Can you do better (or worse)?  Add your contribution in the comments.
